Instructions
I hooped a single layer of tearaway stabilizer.
Your first color change is just to give you a placement line for your fabric.
Place your choice of fabric (I always use a layer of cutaway stabilizer and fabric for stiffness)
over the placement lines with sticky spray.
Run next color which will hold your fabric in place.
The next color is the motif.
After the motif runs you will be able to Float another piece of fabric under
the bottom of the hoop. There is a color stop for this reason. You will get a more
finished looking bookmark this way. After you run the next set of tack down stitches,
remove hoop from machine..DO NOT unhoop...trim away excess fabric on top and bottom.
Cut close to thread but do not cut the actual threads.
Put hoop back on machine and finish the satin stitch edges.
You can also use WSS instead of the tearaway. If you use the WSS then you will trim
away the excess once the design is finished and then use a washcloth and clean up the edges.
